fluorescent light sparks on his skin and
his words are soft and filled with promises that
he will never keep.
he's everything i'm not,
he's calm and he knows what he wants.
he smokes his happiness and
watches life pass him by;
like an ocean waving over his heart,
he loves only what he can pack into a bowl.
and i guess it doesn't matter that i slip into his arms perfectly,
